DuoBell
OVERVIEW
Noise-cancelling headphones have quietly made the traditional bike bell less effective. The sound can be filtered out before anyone hears it. Working with acoustic scientists at the University of Salford and Škoda’s design team, we reinvented a hundred-year-old object for the noise-cancelling age. I led the visual across the product story, identity and launch. DuoBell uses two mechanical resonators to create a sound that active noise cancellation struggles to suppress. No batteries. No electronics. An analogue solution to a digital problem.
